Tip of the Iceburg with Apples iPad

Apples iPad looks likely to change the face of multiroom user interfaces. It’s high resolution display and relative cheap price has already seen a huge number of multiroom manufacturers rushing to bring out apps to control their systems.

Its big friendly interface looks to be even more popular than the iPhone for interactivity with home system control. Almost no company will want to invest huge sums in producing a display for interface, when Apple has done the job already at a cost they couldn’t even dream of.

It’s a ready made miracle for home automation and control. Expect to see SpeakerCraft, Sonos, Rako, Living Control to have working apps very soon, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
